AMP's Amplify Ignite competition (formerly Bright Sparks) is a one-night-only, PhD pitch night that will be held at Sydney’s The Basement on Tuesday 6 June 2017.

Part of AMP’s series of Amplify innovation and ideas events (5-7 June), Ignite will see twenty exceptional PhD students from across the country battle it out to win a grand prize of $5,000 in research funding, with just 150 seconds to pitch their ideas in front of a live audience and judging panel of senior executives.

One of the most popular events on the Amplify calendar, Ignite is a dynamic, fascinating evening of intellectual theatre – one you won’t want to miss!

Book your Ignite ticket & donate funds to student research – your support could help change history!

The choice is yours - purchase an Ignite general admission ticket (which includes a free drink on arrival), OR turbo-charge the fun with an Ignite general admission ticket PLUS a donation to student research!

Donation vouchers (redeemed on the door at entry) can be used on the night to donate funds directly to your favourite student's crowdfunding campaign, via Pozible.

Check out the research of our participating Ignite students above via the 'Students' link, then click below on 'Donate to support student research'. Select an amount you wish to donate to your favourite student, and we'll pledge that amount to that student's crowdfunding campaign on your behalf, via Ignite's crowdfunding partner, Pozible.

The Ignite crowdfunding campaign site will be launched on 7 June (day after Ignite). AMP will pledge $1,000 to each participating Ignite student via Pozible, to kick off students' crowdfunding efforts. Please note, any donation to students you make here, or at Ignite, will appear on your student's crowdfunding campaign site by Friday 9 June. You will be notified when this occurs.
